Hi Ed - Though I'm not sure what your area of specialty is offhand, I'd point you towards the Wiki Education Foundation and the US Education Program. Although the program has a bit of a checkered history, I feel like it's starting to come together quite well, and it does have the direct aim of improving the quality of our content in areas that are currently lacking.
