Hi John (&All) On behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation let me give you a heartfelt thanks for all that you have done for both Wikimedia UK and the Wikimedia Movement as a whole. Being the first Chief Executive is always a hard job and requires a positive attitude and lots of energy in order to motivate people to join you on a risky journey. Having made a good start with WMUK I can imagine that leaving it behind is not easy, but I have confidence that the staff, board and volunteers in the United Kingdom will manage to build on the foundation that you have put in place.
I think we are all happy to hear that you will still be a volunteer, and hopefully our paths will cross in the future. Best wishes for your next challenge!
