Dear Wikimedia community, As the two Board Representatives on the Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC), we want to publicly acknowledge the appeal that was submitted by Wikimedia CH. [1] We appreciate the effort that Wikimedia CH’s Board and staff put into their appeal, which outlines their concerns with the FDC’s recent round (Round 1 2014-2015) of Annual Plan Grants recommendations. [2]
We are now carefully reviewing the inputs to and the notes from the deliberations with the Board and the decision on the appeal will be announced at the same time as the recommendations. In the past, the Board’s deadline for decisions about the FDC’s recommendations for Round 1, including appeals, has been the first of the new year. This year, we will do our best to share the Board’s decision before then, if possible, and certainly by the end of 2014. We do wish for you all to have restful and peaceful holidays!
