Hello, While the FDC deliberations were indeed suspended at the start of movement strategy discussions, several FDC members participated in the Movement Strategy process, in working Groups and through their local community involvement. The valuable points of learning from the work accomplished by the FDC over the years definitely made it into the strategy process and into the recommendations. As Mike noted, funding for affiliates in the program was maintained at a fairly constant level, based on the last FDC recommendations. As movement strategy recommendations are being finalized, the FDC, the board, and the grants team will be working on the next steps, especially keeping in focus Movement Strategy recommendations.
We know how important this is and we all take it seriously, but actionable next steps might take some time, as we are dealing with a complicated and unexpected situation, and need all hands on deck to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities and staff.
