I consider myself quite critical regarding some kinds of conflicts of interest
within the Wikimedia movement, and I don't think this is at all a case of COI.
I congratulate you for your involvement and volunteering advocacy in different
free knowledge and internet organizations.
The most important thing in all those cases is always communicating it publicly
as soon as possible, as you did in your case. I see much more possible
incompatibilities in people that occupy governing positions in more than one
Wikimedia chapter/user group, rather than in your case.
