Hello all,

On May 2, I wrote to you about the next stage in the Universal Code of
Conduct process, which is assembling a Building Committee to create the
Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). I am pleased to
announce the members of the U4C Building Committee are selected. You can
see the selected candidates and work ahead for the U4C Building Committee
on Meta-wiki
<https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Universal_Code_of_Conduct/U4C_Building_Committee>
.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the 43 people who submitted their
nomination and appreciate the people who encouraged these candidates to
submit their names. Creating policy for a global community working to
assemble the world’s knowledge is not a small undertaking. There were so
many good candidates that it was challenging to narrow it down to the final
committee; if not for the need to keep the group nimble, it could have been
much larger. We also want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed
to this process. I hope you will continue to provide your insights on the
draft U4C Charter when it becomes available later this year.

The U4C Building Committee and staff supporting the Universal Code of
Conduct implementation look forward to sharing updates with the community
throughout this process.

Best,

Patrick
