Dear Wikimedians, I’m excited to let you know that *Wikipedia Asian Month 2024 <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Asian_Month_2024>* is on the horizon! 🎊🎊🎊 Scheduled from November to December, this annual event is dedicated to enhancing both the amount and quality of Asia-related content on Wikipedia. There are a few ways that you can be involved in this campaign:
*🏁As an Organizer <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Asian_Month_2024/Join_an_Event>: *Become an event organizer for one of the various language versions of Wikipedia. You'll need to assemble a team of jury members to evaluate participants' contributions. You can also coordinate with *regional ambassadors <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Asian_Month_User_Group/Ambassadors>* to host offline events to encourage participation in your language Wikipedia. *🎖As a Participant <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Asian_Month_2024>: *Contribute by creating or editing articles related to Asia. Eligible participants will get digital Barnstars as a reward! 👪In addition to actively participating in the competition, we have an important announcement: WAMUG hopes to establish a *Steering Committee <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_Asian_Month/Ongoing_Project>* next year. We need your input to help organize this committee. If you have any thoughts or suggestions, please join us for the first call on October 27, or feel free to share your ideas on the discussion page.
