Hi everyone, We all know how to stay safe in the physical world: don't share personal info with strangers, watch your surroundings, trust your instincts. But how good are we at staying safe digitally?
What does digital safety mean, especially when the lines between online and offline keep blurring? And what extra precautions can Wikimedians take? The Human Rights Team <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Foundation/Legal/Community_Resilience_and_Sustainability/Human_Rights> is launching Digital Safety Office Hours to explore exactly these questions. In our first session, we’ll look at: - Why Wikimedians face unique digital safety risks - What digital safety means and how to balance privacy, safety, and usability - Simple steps you can take right now to protect yourself To attend, email [email protected] with the subject “Digital Safety Office Hours (Session 1)”.
