Hello, everyone! On December 14th, Wikimedia Ukraine held its General Assembly to review the organization’s activity and elect new leadership. We’ve managed to organize the General Assembly securely by gathering for a hybrid event in a bomb shelter in Kyiv and online, as well as getting support from the WMF’s Trust & Safety team to use SecurePoll for elections. Wartime conditions still affect us greatly with frequent power blackouts, one of which we experienced during GA itself, and regular air raid warnings.
At the General Assembly in September, Wikimedia Ukraine members reviewed and approved annual reports for 2024-2025. * Full reports in Ukrainian <https://w.wiki/H3nV>. * Highlights in English for 2024 <https://diff.wikimedia.org/2025/01/19/wikimedia-ukraine-in-2024-5-biggest-projects-5-new-initiatives/> . Wikimedia Ukraine members also elected a new Board & Audit Committee. The new Board members are: * Illia Korniiko (User:Ilya), Chair of the Board * Anton Obozhyn (User:Tohaomg), First Vice Chair, Secretary of the Board & responsible for the program “Community Support and Development”. * Mykola Kozlenko (User:NickK), Vice Chair and Treasurer; * Valentyn Nefedov (User:Renvoy), Vice Chair & responsible for the "Advocacy" program; * Viacheslav Mamon (User:Venzz), responsible for our program “Content Enrichment”; * Nataliia Lastovets (User:EleNte), responsible for the program “Increasing Participation”; * Kateryna Kifa (User:Letherian3), responsible for the program “Awareness about Wikimedia”. Congratulations to Kateryna, who has been elected to the Board for the first time, and to Nataliia, who has been reelected after a several years' break. We thank outgoing Board members Bohdan Melnychuk (User:Base) and Mariana Senkiv (User:MarianaSenkiv) for their service. The composition of the Audit Committee remained the same after the reelection, and consists of: * Serhii Pertrov (User:Kharkivian) - Chair of the Committee; * Maryna Liutynska (User:Марина Лютинська); * Anatolii Honcharov (User:Ahonc).
