The organising team of Wikidebate is pleased to announce an open Call for Applications for individuals interested in serving as Jurors for the upcoming Wikidebate programme. Wikidebate is designed to inspire critical thinking, encourage public dialogue, and promote open knowledge by engaging participants in structured, research-based debates on key social, cultural, and knowledge equity topics. Jurors will play a central role in ensuring fairness, transparency, and quality in the evaluation of debates. Role of a Wikidebate Juror Jurors are responsible for: - Assessing debate performance using agreed-upon evaluation criteria - Providing fair, unbiased, and constructive feedback - Supporting the educational goals of Wikidebate - Helping uphold the principles of openness, respect, and knowledge sharing Who Can Apply? We welcome applications from individuals who: - Have experience in education, debating, public speaking, community leadership, or open knowledge initiatives - Demonstrate fairness, integrity, and professionalism. - Possess strong analytical and communication skills. - Support the Wikimedia movement’s values of openness and inclusivity. Experience with Wikimedia projects is an advantage, but not mandatory. Application Deadline: January 19th, 2026 All applications must be submitted on or before January 19th.
