Hello all,

A new update (v.1.5.0) of the Wikisource Reader mobile application

now released for Android users at the Google Play Store.

Here are some major feature updates for this version:

scroll up and down while moving to next chapter.
   - T415024 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T415024>: - We have
introduced a guided tour of the app for new users, where key features of
the app are shown to them at the start for better user navigation.
   - T415026 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T415026>: - We have also
introduced a guided tour for a better understanding of the reader
interface, by which different options to improve or modify reading
experiences are shown to the users.
   - T415025 <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T415025>: - A option is
provided in the settings menu to activate or deactivate these onboarding

   - Levy Muguro <https://levymuguro.hashnode.dev/new-outreachy-intern>, a
full stack developer from Kenya, has successfully completed his internship
at the 31st round <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Outreachy/Round_31> of
the Outreachy. The entire internship contributions can be tracked from

We wholeheartedly thank Levy as he continues to engage with us and develop
the app in volunteer capacity after his internship has ended.
   - The interface of the app can be translated from here:
   https://translatewiki.net/wiki/Translating:Wikisource_Reader . Please
note, it is required to translate more than 25% of the strings to be
included in the app. The new translated strings will be available from the
next update release of the app.
   - We have an analytics dashboard from where you can get an estimate of
the top viewed, searched and downloaded books, which can be found here
   <https://wsindex.toolforge.org/analytics/>
   - You can report existing bugs or request for new features related to
the app in this Phabricator workboard
   <https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/project/board/8233/query/all/>.

We sincerely thank everyone, who has selflessly contributed in the
development of the app, provided feedback, raised issues, resolved bugs,
worked on adding new languages, translated interface strings and supported
in other ways.

Regards,
Sai Phanindra and Bodhisattwa
(both in volunteer capacity)
