This is not a usual Wikipedia article writing competition / challenge. The extent of its impact is touching every single human being on Earth (and beyond) and even many animals! Health is a universal need of all of us, but usually it is fully appreciated only when it is lost. This article challenge reminds us and many Wikipedia readers about the progress that medicine as a field have already made and provides vision for what is possible for the next couple of years to a few decades. The trustworthy information provided by this competition can literally save the lives of very, very many people, potentially including those close to you and even your own! Just for an example, imagine how much easier it would be to cure someone's cancer if it would be detected several years earlier! That can be a difference between full remission and many years of struggle. I especially invite you to concentrate your writing effort on the focus articles “Horizon of Health” <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:MyLanguage/Health_Challenge_2026/Focus_articles>. Those are hand-picked topics considered to have exceptionally high impact, not yet fully deployed or even developed but no more a pure sci-fi (so, available in next ~20 years). They range from early, minimally invasive cancer detection, to full eradication of diseases to reversing aging. More societal awareness about these topics can move the needle about their development and save around 110 000 lives for every single day that the proper treatments are developed.
