Hi Kiril, I don't know Duncan, but I want to echo that this was the same format from a couple years ago when another *Wired* journalist was doing an article about Wikipedia. It did take quite a while for it to publish as the journalist did a lot of research and follow up. The fact-checker will likely reach out to you about direct quotes that may be included to ensure the content is correct and that you approve of the quotes being included and how/if you want to be identified (if that hasn't already been agreed upon - or they may just confirm if it has).
Take care, Jamie On Wed, 14 Oct 2026 at 15:58, Press via Wikimedia-l < [email protected]> wrote: > Hi Kiril, > > We can confirm that Duncan has been in touch with the press team at the > Foundation and has contacted other Wikimedia volunteers for this story. > > Thank you for checking this with us.
