Join our "Queens Open History" Wikipedia Editathon at Queens Central
Library on Friday, aimed at collaboratively expanding Wikipedia
articles covering the history and the communities of the Borough of
Dreams!

Location: 1st Floor Cyber Center Training Room, Queens Central
Library, 89-11 Merrick Blvd

Time: Friday December 6, 10am - 7pm (Drop-ins welcome at any time!)

Join the Queens Library, Wikimedia NYC, and the Metropolitan New York
Library Council for an all-day Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon and public
training event on Friday, December 6th at the Queens Library Central
Branch. The event will be focused on Queens History, Queens historical
figures, the Queens Library System, and the special topics covered in
the Queens Archives.

Folders full of research and information about special topics in the
Queens Library Archives will be available to make it easy to get
started writing and editing Wikipedia articles about Queens and
Wikipedians will be on site to provide basic and advanced training on
editing articles and working with images.

Formal Training Presentations: 10:30-11:30am, 2:00-3:00pm (but
informal hands-on help will be available all day!)
