Please join Wikimedia NYC for our Members’ Meeting < https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Election_2024> on September 25, 2024. The Members' Meeting is similar to other WikiWednesday meetups, except that its primary function is to elect new members to the Board of Directors and set the stage for activities over the coming year.
We will elect three board seats, half of the elected seats on the board. After being elected, those elected can potentially appoint more seats. If you've been active in the chapter and looking for ways to deepen your engagement, consider putting yourself forward! If you know someone who you think would be a good fit for the Wikimedia NYC Board, encourage them to self-nominate, too! The deadline to nominate yourself is September 18. Voting (open to all chapter members) will be via a secure third party service, and will be possible both online and in-person, in a period starting a couple of days before. Your email address will be required to vote in order to validate members, but your vote itself will be anonymous.
