Dear all, I'd like to announce that the inaugural "Backstage Pass" tour will be taking place at Sydney's [[Powerhouse Museum]] on Friday the 13th of March. Meeting @10am.
If you would like to attend and can make it on the day, or, would just like to know more about what we'll be doing please have a read here: http://wikimedia.org.au/wiki/Backstage_pass Only members of Wikimedia Australia can sign up to this event (as it is on the chapter wiki). As there is a limited number of places available for this, 20 max, we're offering members of the chapter the first dibs on coming along. Please sign up and reserve your place if you can come! :-) In a couple of days I'll post a similar message to this one to a wider audience of Australian wiki-folk (and our cousins like Sydney Linux user group) and they'll need to sign up via members of the chapter (who can edit the wiki). This is to make sure that people don't just add ~~~~ to the bottom of the list willy nilly. The Powerhouse are putting a lot of effort and resources into this and it would be a shame if people who wanted to come couldn't because of false-oversubscription. If you know of other people who would like to come along but wouldn't have seen this message - please pass it along. This is a good chance for us to increase awareness of what we do in the real world to people who are also helping to share knowledge in their own way. Yet, it is also a great chance for the Australian Chapter to grow its membership and strengthen our community. So - invite your friends, especially if they're already productive wiki-folk. We Want You! All the best, -Liam [[user:witty lama]] _______________________________________________ Wikimediaau-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimediaau-l
