Is great to see another load of historical images potentially on their way to Commons, but in the case of Indigenous Australians, they risk not only offending custom but reinforcing stereotypes - because imagery on Commons relating to Indigenous Australians is almost unanimously historical, with almost nothing representing the range of contemporary life. We need to do more to boost the stock of contemporary images... I know the ABC is asleep, and their archives woefully managed when it cons to copyright. Doors anyone know about SBS?
