I just tested it by letting MediaWiki send me some system information to
myself which works perfectly.

I checked the logs:

Firefox/2.0.0.6"

Since Sep 3rd 03:00 user Kelson just sent a mail just once at Sep 5th 12:16.

Looking this up in the mailserver logfile I can see that MediaWiki didn't send
any message. The mail function wasn't triggered.

I tested again by letting MediaWiki using the Emailuser page - no mail was
being created.

It looks like this is a bug of MediaWiki, because on the same servers there a
lot of mails being sent all days (by webshops etc.) which I can see in the
logfiles.
I also realized that there's something wrong in Special:Emailusers because
sending the mail takes no time. The page normally waits with loading until
the mail is sent in realtime. You normally notice this with a small delay (~1
sec).
