what do you think about the opensourced google book scanner: * https://code.google.com/p/linear-book-scanner/ * http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=4JuoOaL11bw#!
The discussion is over here, http://diybookscanner.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=2720 I think that very few people are interested in both scanning books and building the scanner for it. This model looks like it has many disadvantages. If I can afford to cut the spine, I will use a sheetfed scanner. If I can't afford to damage the book, I would not risk it by using this mechanism, but rather use cameras and manual page turning. -- Lars Aronsson (l...@aronsson.se) Project Runeberg - free Nordic literature - http://runeberg.org/ _______________________________________________ http://wikimedia.ch Wikimedia CH website Wikimediach-l mailing list https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikimediach-l
