Dear Wikimedians,

As you are aware we are receiving enthusiastic response from many
individuals interested in organising events in their respective cities.
While there have been close to 20 plus cities that have thrown in their hat
to organise a local celebration, many of them actually need help, mentoring,
content to run their event. (current
categorized cities under India/Bangladesh)

With the intent to assisting these volunteers across the country, I would
like to propose that we setup task forces that can assist in various aspects
to help these events get conducted well. (India coordination page) (sample wiki page being used to
support an event)

This is a call for volunteers from active wikimedians for the following task
forces. We need your support and help.

Task forces for co-ordination and helping events

Propose the following Task forces to be comprised of experienced Wikipedians
in India to help Indian wide celebration events.
Task force A: Reaching out to more cities

Increase reach of event to more cities and states.
Task force B: Supporting the volunteers

Increase reach within a city and ensure aspects/content for the event.

The focus of this task force is to reach out to a sizable audience in a
city, ensure typical wiki meetup DOs and DONTs are taken care of, guidance
of any kind with ideas for logistics.
Task force C: Creating standard content

Create or collate quality content that can be used by the various city

Please volunteer, we need support of all experienced wikipedians in these
task forces to support the various city initiatives. We have requests from
places like Dibrugarh in Assam, Bikaner in Rajasthan, Ujjain in MP.
University students mostly with access to an auditorium and a captive
student audience.

It is a great opportunity for us to get the work around about Wikimedia and
its projects.
We need all the help we can get.

Please register for the task forces at this url:
Look forward to your active support.

Thanks and Regards
