Comments or offers to help with later mass uploads and categorization would be gratefully received. This image is one of an initial test set of 300 original scans of never before published World War II artworks in their collections for which we hope to encourage Wikipedia biography articles to be created about these war time artists (as commissioned by the Ministry of Information). Consequently help on Wikipedia fostering that side of the collaboration is also needed. Over the summer the idea is to publish to Wikimedia Commons something in the order of (a multiple of) 10,000 images from the digital collections, for the first time uploaded to the internet for the public benefit. Experimenting with the initial test set will establish our best practice for metadata requirements and layout.
