However its darker than you think and a lot of things can get in the way presenting significant technical challenges. For example a good photo of Puffing Billy would require a wide angle lens and either more lighting equipment than you are likely able to lift or a camera with some serious low light ability. For a technical challenge I suspect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ERNIE is near impossible to photograph well.
