Fae didn't put himself forward, he was nominated by Ziko. I doubt the Chief Executive and Trustees of WMUK even knew Ziko was planning to nominate him (I'm not sure Fae knew until just before it happened). I don't think WMUK can be held in any way responsible for the WCA's decision to appoint Fae chair.
