The ability to turn this on or off for your browser is unfortunately hidden away in a tab in the 'Filter preferences ...' of ABP. There's also an individual whitelist there. It's probably worth reading the developer's blog at http://adblockplus.org/blog/typo-correction-feature-in-adblock-plusfor a good overview of how it all works.
