Dear all

I'm very happy to share the details of an upcoming partnership event
between Wikimedia UK, Wikimedia Foundation and the British Library.
The Knowledge
is Human summit <https://www.bl.uk/stories/blogs/posts/knowledge-is-human> aims
to explore the impact of AI on open knowledge and the wider information
landscape. As we look to the future of information, how do we ensure that
machine learning supports human learning, and build sustainability and
information integrity into new models of content creation?

Focusing on the role of human-created, open knowledge in the age of AI and
our collective responsibility to safeguard knowledge integrity and
sustainability, speakers at the event will include the Programme Director
of Generative AI at the BBC, the Founder and Director of ethical AI company
Pleias, Policy and Advocacy Lead at Global Partners Digital and Director of
Research at the Open Data Institute, among many others. Staff and
volunteers from the Wikimedia community will also be well represented.

The event is free but registration is essential. Please sign up through
eventbrite here:
