>From their press release: > "The ultimate programme will support public collections across the UK to > adopt open access for images of public domain artworks – or in other words, > artworks that are no longer protected by copyright and where no new rights > can be asserted in the digital image surrogates." This first phase is building towards a funding application for more work in this area. We're working with them to include a Wikimedia aspect. They recently advertised several consultant roles that will shape the current project and lay the groundwork for the next step.
