Dear All Thanks for the continued interest.
After Friday's meeting, and enthusiasm from all the attendees at it, it looks like we have the complete support of the Western Cape Government heritage department for the Wiki Loves Monuments. The next step is to secure national support via SAHRA (South African Heritage Resources Agency) and other provincial heritage departments. We have a meeting with SAHRA on Monday to discuss the implications of the competition for them. Maarten, Lourie and I are going to now construct the concept, mechanics and rollout document. When it is ready we will put it out to all for feedback. Please let me know if anyone else wants to be involved from a planning and meeting point of view.
