Hi Nick, We will indeed be taking part! We are having some technical problems with the wikilovesmonuments.org.za website at the moment, which we're trying to sort out, but it will hopefully be back soon.
Dumisani and the rest of the team have put in a grant application with the Wikimedia Foundation to support our efforts (which you can see here: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:WM_ZA/WLM-ZA-2013 ), and we will soon add ourselves to the list of participating countries. We're a small, rather over-stretched team at the moment, so like last year, any assistance would be most welcome!!
