Dear Wikimedians in South Africa As some of you know, I have been talking to Colin Cullis at Primedia about Primedia¹s stations and media houses holding a special focus day the Wikipedia Word-a-thon on the 19th September where staff, and potentially listeners, contribute to Wikipedia en-mass.
Many of the staff are nervous of starting and not sure how to go about it.
We are looking for Wikipedians to assist on the day the 19th at the
Primedia offices in Cape Town and Johannesburg, and one person in
Johannesburg to walk through a pre-training nerves-settling session sometime
next week.
Please email me if you can do the pre-event training day next week in
Johannesburg, and are keen to be involved in either events on the day in
Cape Town and Johannesburg.
