Morning all,
Be interesting to see what search engines are going to make of it. In my
opinion its long overdue to get an "African" language resource up and
running. I think it might also be worth getting in language organisations
like the ATV (Die Afrikaanse Taalvereniging) involved, I'm however not sure
if similar organisations exist for languages like Zulu, Xhosa, etc. anyone
know?
What might also be worth looking into is approaching universities.. for
those that do not know the Northern Cape has a new one: Sol Plaatje
University (www.spu.ac.za) they are looking to grow their visibility i know
for a fact.

Truly an interesting document!
I think students enrolled for Honours and Masters students (with a research
project component in African Languages and Applied Linguistics) are always
interested in getting exposure and practice-based learning in the field of
Online Copy Writing, Proofreading, Editing, and translations). I think such
initiatives can give them scope, practice and learning opportunities;
[in]directly leading to the elevation of African languages as 'resource'?
If interested, we can also go the PanSALB (Pan South African Language
Board) route?
