Hello everyone, This is a quick reminder of the upcoming Wikimedia South Africa AGM which will be happening on Saturday the 28th November. If you feel you might not be able to attend due to data cost issues then please email me as the chapter has some budget to help subsidise data costs for this meeting.
I also want to share with everyone our annual report for 2019/20 <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Simple/Applications/Wikimedia_South_Africa/2019#End_of_year_report>prepared for the Wikimedia Foundation. It gives a full summary of what the chapter did in the previous year. Remember to read both the half-year report for the July-Dec 2019 period and the Full report for the Jan-June 2020 period. I also want to give everyone a heads up I will be stepping down as President of Wikimedia South Africa this year as, in my opinion, five years is plenty long enough for anyone to be president of a chapter. I am now looking forward to being a part of chapter activities in a more junior volunteer capacity. I want to thank all chapter members for your support over the past few years. It has been a fantastic volunteer experience leading the chapter and I feel so privileged to have served with and for such a wonderful group of people.
