Good Morning Chapter Members I am writing to update all applicants for the outreach initiative Wikimedia ZA started in January 2025.
A number of applicants have reached out to me to confirm the status of their submissions. The Wikimedia ZA board have met on a number of occasions to discuss and create the process for engagement around initiatives, projects, events and support for its' chapter members. Unfortunately the board have not yet concluded their deliberation. The board have committed to completing this by the middle of August 2025 (just after Wikimania) which means that all applicants will be informed of the outcome by the end of August 2025. I know that the delay may be frustrating, kindly accept my apologies for this. I can assure you that the process being defined is repeatable, fair and transparent and will be used for years to come.
