Good Day Chapter Members Wikimedia South Africa has participated in a number of initiatives in the 2025-2026 year
As we come to the close of the year and as previously communicated, the chapter will on a yearly basis have two engagements with chapter members to isolate chapter needs. 1st Engagement at the financial year mid point (December 2025) 2nd Engagement before the end of the financial Year (June 2026) The Chapter would like to invite all chapter members who have an idea of an activity or project they would like to pursue between March and July 2026 to submit their needs. If you are interested in engaging with the chapter around your needs please utilize the Google form below to capture your idea or need. The form will enable you to isolate projects or community needs you would like to explore and will enable the Chapter to isolate methods to support you. Some of the areas The Chapter will be able to support our chapter members are: 1. Mentorship 2. Language related support 3. Data related support 4. Workshop organization and facilitation 5. Initiatives aligning with our 5 year strategy 5.1. Objective 5: Grow community by 30% by 2026 5.2. Objective 6: Improve on Partnerships 5.3. Objective 7: Increase South Africa Languages Wikis by 30% 5.4. Objective 8: Activate some Language Champions 6. Diversity Outreach 7. Library Outreach 8. Hackathons 9. Thematic Editathons 10. Photographic Events 11.
