You could add some cue to the title of each edition, or add a description,
that way placing the mouse cursor over the item it displays the hint.
Of course as you sad for Wikidata the navigation it is not so important,
since it is considered a backend, the frontend should deal with displaying
more details of each edition. It is possible to do it, just needs
programmer time which we don't have.
