In that case, I might prefer suggesting a documentation
fix and updating use sites to the pad left solution,
but I guess that depends on how pervasive it is.

The short answer is that, currently, there needs to be an edit to
a page (or template transcluded on the page) before the results will
show up.  T161556 is about reprocessing all pages.
