What you're saying is there's no point editing just a section, if it relies on references defined elsewhere. But that's not true. It's useful in the following circumstances: * You're not creating or editing any references * You're only creating new, locally-defined, references * You're only editing locally-defined references Section editing is unhelpful in this case: * You're editing existing, remotely-defined references The right solution is for a second edit window just for remotely defined references to be used.
