Tim Starling once said that arrays are good thing in PHP (I probably can 
find that quote - it was few months ago). Also arrays can be casted to 
stdobject and back, thus making the access "prettier". One can even use 
is_object or is_array or instanceof stdclass to detect any of these 
passed as parameters.
