We could learn from IBM's experience with the open source community. They famously made it company policy for staff developers to communicate through the Linux community forums rather than through internal company methods. This was key to their acceptance and success in the open source world, in particular early in their involvement. While there is a small cost in forcing communication to be public rather than private, the dividends are usually worth it. - -Mike -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkxEYsUACgkQst0AR/DaKHuEAQCgqHmW+GhuHN6XsUfmWk7yo0zi W6wAoIdrSo9zOySVDon5V9rFZLO1wuhI =agfO -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Wikitech-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikitech-l
