It is a good tip.

Another one, is to use 'colordiff' before commit.  It reformat the diff 
output with line coloring. The utility should be available in most 
GNU/Linux distribution.

In your ~/.subversion/config :

   [helpers]
   diff-cmd = colordiff

Pipe it with 'less -R' to have the output paginated with colors :-)
Ex:
   svn diff | less -R
