I'm on the Editor Engagement Experiments team, which mostly works on extensions. However, I am proposing and working on changes for core where it makes sense. One particular core change I have pending is extending mediawiki.jqueryMsg to support wikilinks and the int: magic word. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/41808/ There are also a few other smaller ones, and bugs that are just in the idea stage.
