I had to use a mailing list archive to see the full thread here, which started way back in 2004(!!!): http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/wiki/wikitech/281372 A highlight I noticed: the wb2pdf that Dirk links above when from a 90+meg download to only a 2.8 meg Debian package.
