I'm not convinced that patch is needed. AFAIK these do not need to be changed. For example, www.mediawiki.org's database name is mediawikiwiki, not wwwmediawiki. The same is true on x1, the external storage clusters, and (for example) in localuser.lu_wiki in the centralauth DB.
