Hi everyone! Just to follow up: it seems that we indeed have found someone to help out here.
Info about the tool is not online yet, but will be soon, I hope. It'll be a tool on Toolforge, providing an easy interface for beginners/laypeople to easily add microcontributions of structured metadata to files on Wikimedia Commons. We'll work on it as a pilot for Structured Data on Commons, with images from pas Wiki Loves Africa campaigns as a first set. Support is (for now) only needed for a few months, most of it in April. As I said: we have probably already found someone who will help out - but if this tool sounds interesting to any of you, feel free to reach out!
