Hey Andrew — I'm excited you're excited :) Adding the nice and necessary features needed to move from Gerrit → GitLab are on our roadmap: test runners, image builders, Phabricator integration, IRC bots. But we haven't talked about doc publishing.
Since doc.wikimedia.org now lives outside our integration infrastructure, it should be possible—an rsync away, really. But it's likely blocked on a trusted build environment (if I remember correctly, some of these docs require server-side components—although this may be limited to a subset of projects). Sounds like you have an early use-case for this? Mind filing a task on the GitLab backlog so we can start noodling together?
