Hi all,

In a group discussion at Wikimania (August 13) [1], more than 30 people talked
about how to make content partnership software in the Wikimedia movement more
reliable and sustainable. The session focused on the role of volunteer
developers in the movement, and if (and how) a formal organization (like a
thematic hub) can step up and help volunteer developers to make their software
more sustainable.

Although this discussion at Wikimania was very lively, many voices were still
not heard there. For those who could not attend: we summarized the outcomes in
a blog post [2], and you can watch the recording of the session on YouTube [3].
If you read that summary and the contributions to the Etherpad [4]: do you
agree, or disagree? We would really like to hear your feedback, which you can
leave on the talk page of the on-wiki version of this blog post [5], or e-mail
to me directly.

Many thanks and all the best!
Sandra Fauconnier (in the capacity of product strategist at Wikimedia Sverige)
