What: TWIAR.org to be "down" for system maintenance as we transition
to new host. Users will see either the old site or the new one depending
on when their ISP's Name Servers update to the new location. Users may
need to clear their browsers' cache in order to view the new site location.
Length: Anywhere from 15 minutes an hour
Areas affected: Files should be able to be accessed from the web site with
no interruption. Podcast feeds should be accessed with no interruption.
Mail services may see an interruption as it is transitioned from the old
server t the new. Some users may get an "unsubscribe" and "subscribe"
email as the mail server is reconfigured.
Persons subscribed to the TWIAR.org mailing lists should refrain from
sending mail to the lists until notified. This will prevent email from
becoming lost.
New site will have note on the front page welcoming users to the new host
location. Other than mentions of the new host provider, the cosmetic
appearance of the site will not change for now.
Updates will be posted on this list as necessary.
