I am having problems running Wimax on Ubuntu with an Intel 5150 sample on a usb adapter board. Here are the details:
>From dmesg: [ 121.552064] usb 1-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3 [ 121.684969] usb 1-6: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 121.753911] i2400m_usb 1-6:1.0: firmware: requesting i2400m-fw-usb-1.4.sbcf [ 123.911597] i2400m_usb 1-6:1.0: firmware interface version 9.2.0 [ 123.919570] i2400m_usb 1-6:1.0: WiMAX interface wmx0 (00:1d:e1:07:08:63) ready [ 123.919699] usbcore: registered new interface driver i2400m_usb [ 123.924148] i2400m_usb 1-6:1.0: 'RF Control' (0x4602) command failed: -84 - invalid state (3) [ 123.946879] ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wmx0: link is not ready >From lsusb: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 8086:0180 Intel Corp. (this is a 5150 sample, but it connects fine and works with CLEAR when running under Windows XP) Here's what OS I am running: Linux version 2.6.31-16-generic (bui...@rothera) (gcc version 4.4.1 (Ubuntu 4.4.1-4ubuntu8) ) #53-Ubuntu SMP Tue Dec 8 04:01:29 UTC 2009 I start the service using /etc/init.d/wimax start but any use of wimaxcu results in "ERROR: Make sure WiMAX Network Service is running." Running service --status-all gives: [ + ] wimax Any ideas? Erich
