With that said, do you have the newest virus definitions from Norton? Could
try AVG AV. It is free.
I supported Norton from 1994 until Norton 2005. Norton Utilities were good therapy for Win9x but not for XP. Norton 2005 is a real dog. It requires far too many resources to be an asset to Win9x. It will run there but it lugs Windows 98SE or Me down so it runs like molasses. Norton AntiVirus 2005 refused to do a full scan on my personal computer and on my shop computer. This is the first time since 1994 that Norton AntiVirus slapped me in the face like this. Failing to run a full virus scan on 2 computers (it went into serious error and had to be closed) was enough for me! I fired Norton and went with AVG.
