But "Do Not Try This With ME, 2K, XP" Wayne - you forgot to give the warning here. By the way, why wouldn't you do it with one of these OS's?
For the same reason going to My Computer/Special Folders in Tweakui gives the following warning.
Tweak UI
Carelessly changing a special folder may render your system unusable.
For example, don't set two special folders equal to each other, or set a special folder equal to a system folder like the Fonts folder.
Continue changing special folders?
My warning is because MSFT does NOT like the Startup folder being relocated from Programs to the Start Menu folder & I also stated that in 98 which BTW is not ME, 2K or XP that I use to redirect Programs to one's desktop well as you can see by the warning above that 2 special folders would be equal to each other & that's a no no. When XP 1st came out, I don't recall what I tried 1st, the Programs to Desktop or relocating the StartUp folder but I wound up with a completely unstable system. Of course MSFT didn't have a version of Tweakui for XP yet at the time either. I don't know if that would happen with SP1 or 2 but I AIN'T trying it again but you're more than welcome to.
