Hi Chris,

In general, the hard drive will be under the front panel (where the mouse pad is). Again, generally speaking, the first thing to take off is the panel at the top of the keyboard. Toshibas tend to have this clipped on, maybe 7 or 9 of them. Start at one end and ease them open individually. Next out is the keyboard, usually 3 screws, dead easy!. Then the upper panel can come off, this is usually screwed on from above and below, maybe a dozen or so (including the screen and hinges). The HDD will be lurking there somewhere...

That was an incredibly generalized walk through, don't take it as read as I've not come across your model before. Should be close though!

Greetings. I am working on a toshiba sattelite 1105 notebook. the hard drive has gone south, and i picked up a replacement with twice the storage capacity yesterday at the swap meet. i cannot figure how to get to the hard drive. i own a slightly older toshiba sattelite, and the drive is easily accessible through a door that unscrews from the side. no doors like that on this newer model. i think i know what must be done, probably involves removing the keypad. there are two rectangular holes, on either side of the touchpad (mouse), and i have tried gently exerting pressure with a flat blade screwdriver, but nothing gives. could some kind soul tell me please, where i should apply pressure to be able to access the hard drive? as always, thank you very much.
